What should I do with my horrible teammate ?

Hello, my name is Kimberly and I'm 22 years old. I was born in Boston, but now, I'm living in Cambridge for my job. I am a new paramedic since only two months. I absolutely love my job, but there's one thing that I don't like. If you don't know it, paramedics always work two by two. So, the name of my teammate is Luke. He is 28 years old, so he is older than me. I don't really like to work with him... Sometimes, he yells at me for no reason. He said that I'm not doing my job correctly. He always said that he is doing it better than me. Overall, our working complicity doesn't exist.

I choose a moment to talk with him when we have a break. I just tell him that I don't like the way he talks to me. I say that I'm new, so it is normal that he has more experience than me. Also, I say that it makes me sad when he yells at me and that I'm sorry for my mistakes. I'm not sure, but he seems to understand. So, I said to him : I want this to change. He is surprised. I said that I wanted him to make efforts to change, or I will ignore him except when we have an emergency call.

When I have time, I see Human Resources. I explained my situation about Luke and I give to them few examples, like when he always wants to do all the tasks because he says that I'm not able to do it correctly. Their response was that I have two options : I stay with Luke, and I try to adjust things with him or HR give me another partner with more experience than Luke, but he always grumbles about everything.

So, I have two choices : stay with Clark or back with Luke. What should I do?

I made the good choice. Our date was so perfect. Now, we are officially together. I'm so happy we are so closer. I can't believe it. But now, I have a huge problem. I just receive a call from our boss and he tells me about a big dangerous emergency. Seventeen lives are in danger. It's need 5 ambulances but there's already four. So, my boss asks me if Luke and I want to be the fitfth ambulance. We are not obligated to go because it's really dangerous but the boss believes in us. I have two choices : help other paramedics with the dangerous emergency or don't help other paramedics with the dangerous emergency. What should I do?
