When I decided to enroll in the Paralegal program, a new life began, and I had to make choices about my future life as a future paralegal.
Choice 1 : Procrastinate with my homework.

I've always had facility in school as a student. However, like many students, I've always had a problem with time management. I still pull of my degree, but it was very difficult, and I had to double my effort. I was discouraged and I no longer knew what to do with my future.
Choice 1 : Volunteering in Kenya.
Choice 2 : Apply in a lawyer’s office as a paralegal.
From a young age, I have always been thoughtful concerning my studies and this habit followed me to college. Procrastination was not an option for me, getting straight A's has been all that mattered. I tried to put aside any distraction and focused on what was really important to become an excellent paralegal. Because of my excellent grades, I could continue my law studies, or I could go work and make money.
Choice 1 : Apply to McGill University in criminal law.
Choice 2 : Apply in a lawyer’s office as a paralegal.
Unfortunately, in college, I focused too much on my studies and didn’t think to find a part-time job to pay my law school. Who would have thought that studying too much at school would have held me back in my dreams?

After I finished my program, I received my college degree, and I immediately started looking for a job. I was not sure in which legal field I want to apply.

I was finally hired in the most prestigious law firm in Montreal. I wasn't hired as an intern. The firm offered me an on-the-job-training with a wage and, I had the choice to choose my trainee.

I applied in the office of my former professor of business law at college. Unfortunately, she did not accept my application because in 2019, she heard a conversation with my friends, and I said that the notaries were boring, and they were useless. Sometimes talking too much can have serious consequences.

Surprisingly, I got along very well with Patricia. All the tools she gave me were really comes in handy during my on-the-job-training. I started to learn the ropes and with time I became a better paralegal. My progress allowed me to obtain a premium wage. I stayed 20 years in this office, and I was tired a little bit.

I went to Kenya as a volunteer paralegal. I was helping other legal professional. They offered me a premium wage, but I refused because for me It was an invaluable experience. One day, I had to go, to the jungle to find evidence for our case and a huge lion appeared in front of me. It was already too late, the lion had swallowed me up.

The Human Resources Department took the complaint very seriously. They immediately made a background check on Patrick. They discovered that his criminal record was clean. On the other hand, several complaints have been filed but have never been deliberated in court. The HR proposed me two options.

Three months passed and one day, I finished work late because I was working on files that had to be brought to court the next day. Patrick proposed to take me home. Finally, the purpose of the trip was not for work. He proposed to me at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. Since then, we haven't left each other.

I decided to send him to prison to do justice to all the victims. I was hoping that the prison would allow him to question himself on his actions. Unfortunately, he managed to escape from prison since that day, no one heard about him.
